Stuart spent over 25 years with Atkins Management Consultants, carrying out steel investment and Restructuring plans in EU and E&CE regions, and in Asia.

He began his career in Operations Research at the Llanwern steel works, and did post -graduate research on the economics and technology of the Indian steel industry. He spent 3 years in corporate planning at SIDOR in Venezuela. He has published several reports on EU industry policy, and on the construction sectors.

Stuart speaks Spanish, French and Italian.
